Although it has taken me quite sometime, I am thrilled to finally have and share with you a preliminary sketch of Vivi, the Visionary… the author of The Curious Tales of Thimble Tarn!
If you remember, The Curious Stories from Thimble Tarn… are a cluster of tiny poems that narrate and celebrate the hidden lives of the nearly extinct botanical fay that resides by and around a small mountain lake/puddle called, Thimble Tarn. Of course, Thimble Tarn is not the actual name of the garden-sprite’s community as the real name has been changed to protect the floral identities of the wee-townsfolk who still dwell in and around the Tarn that rises and runs down from the mystical Moss Mountains. O’ my, I am not quite sure I should have divulged that particular hush-hush…Can you keep a secret? O’ you can? How marvelous, then I shall continue… the true aim of the odes are to shed some light on the little understood Lilliputian world of the botanical fay who had settled in Thimble Tarn in the year 1651 and then established their wondrous garden-burg in the year 1788. Well, now, here is where I shall begin…

Dearest MayMay spinning Spring,
See how she loves all the living things.
She spins the sky such a marvelous French blue,
Yes, I have heard it said, and I believe it’s true.
With each spin that is spun, a fairy’s wish she hath done!
